Alex Labbé reaches his goals in Martinsville
An 8th place finish and over $3,000 in donations for the Breakfast Club

Martinsville, Virginia, October 30, 2021 – Alex Labbé had an additional motivation during the October 30 race in Martinsville: the children of the Breakfast Club. In an altruistic gesture, the Quebec NASCAR Xfinity driver offered visibility on his car to the organization and made a personal donation to the children who benefit from the Club every morning. In addition to raising over $3,000, Labbé achieved his best result of the season with the eighth place finish.

“We achieved our best result of the season, I couldn’t be happier. We felt like it was time for us. We have had an up and down season and this is just the return of the elevator what happens to us today”, said the Quebec driver. Labbé was able to make good line choices during the many late race restarts, which allowed him to obtain an excellent result.

“I am happy to have been able to achieve two goals in Martinsville: finish in the top-10 of the race and surpass my goal of donating to the children of the Breakfast Club. I would like to thank everyone who donated to the organization. I really appreciate it and I’m happy that the children are the winners”, Labbé concluded.

In the past year, the Club has seen a dramatic increase in attendance and demand for breakfast programs. In Canada, 1 in 3 children are likely to arrive at school hungry. That’s nearly 2 million children who are likely to start their day hungry. In Quebec alone, the Club provides a nutritious breakfast to nearly 70,000 children every morning.

There is only one race left in the NASCAR Xfinity season, on November 6, 2021 in Phoenix, Arizona.
