Back on track in NASCAR Xfinity: Alex Labbé ready for Martinsville: The Canadian pilot will wear Larue’s colors this weekend
Martinsville, Virginia April 8, 2021 – Quebec driver Alex Labbé will return to the NASCAR Xfinity Series circuit this Friday in Martinsville after a two-week racing break. Labbé found himself on familiar ground in the final Atlanta race standings on March 20th, posting his second best result of the season with a 17th place finish. The driver intends to build on his achievements and aims for a top-15 this weekend with a new car in the colors of his loyal partner, Larue. This will be the second time that NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers have taken on Martinsville’s Short Track, the smallest track on the circuit with just 0.526 miles. Due to its particular shape, it is one of the most difficult tracks to master, but the St-Albert pilot still believes he will be able to do well. “We are changing our strategy a bit and will opt for for a different car than last year, hopefully this will work in our favor. I’m also very comfortable on the small circuits and with a little luck we can reach our goal of finishing in the top-15, ”explained the driver of the number 36 car.
Larue, a loyal partner of Alex Labbé since 2013
Alex Labbé’s car will display Larue’s colors for the Cook Out 250 race. The Quebec company, which specializes in the manufacturing of industrial snowblowers, continues to support the St-Albert driver in the achievement of his goals on the NASCAR Xfinity circuit. “Alex has immense potential and he has proven time and time again that he has the talent to be combative. We have been associated with Alex since 2013 and have been fortunate to see him find his way through this hyper competitive world, ”explains Louis Larue, CEO of the company. “The whole team is behind Alex for the Martinsville race and we believe in his chances of finishing in the top-15. “
The race will air Friday April 9th at 8:00 p.m. EST on TSN2.
